Panikeke

"Panikeke is the Pacific Term for ‘Pancake’; Usually comes in the form of a deep-fried pancake ball their founders' favourite; homemade flat-fried panikekes (pancakes) smothered in lots of butter and strawberry jam *yum*"

Panikeke, founded in a small room in South Auckland by young Pacific entrepreneur Kiteli in 2016, emerged from frustration with the lack of Pacific-made products. Despite facing numerous obstacles and scepticism, Kiteli persisted, launching Panikeke as a platform to showcase Pacific-inspired goods at local markets. The response was overwhelmingly positive, leading to rapid growth and the opening of the first brick-and-mortar store in 2020. Today, Panikeke boasts a diverse product range, multiple stores, and a growing global presence, all rooted in a mission to celebrate Pacific culture. Kiteli remains excited about the brand's future and its continued evolution.

Tuhi Stationery

Tuhi Stationery, born from the humble upbringing of its founder in the Far North of New Zealand, alongside her Samoan partner embodies the essence of Maori and Samoan heritage and tradition. Geneva Harrison was raised by maternal grandparents within a close-knit tribal community, the founder experienced a childhood rich in cultural immersion and family unity.

With a grandfather deeply involved in community leadership and meticulous diary-keeping, the founder grew up surrounded by the importance of preserving memories and staying connected to heritage. Engaged in traditional activities like gardening, fishing, and hunting, the founder unwittingly absorbed a way of life that would later inspire Tuhi Stationery's ethos.

Years later, amidst a corporate career, the founder found a void in the market for planners and stationery that honoured Maori and Samoan language and culture. Inspired by the cherished diaries of their grandfather, the founder embarked on a mission to create high-quality, culturally resonant stationery that would stand the test of time, serving as both practical tools and treasured keepsakes for future generations.

Tuhi Stationery represents more than just products; it is a celebration of both Maori and Samoan identity, a tribute to ancestral wisdom, and a testament to the enduring legacy of family heritage.
